The chair presides the committee. She calls to order, reads the agenda, does the roll call and ends the meeting. It is expected that the chair is a long time member of the community and regularly involved in managing administrative functions in the Mapbender projects.

When problems cannot be resolved by votes the chair is the last arbitrator. If she cannot resolve the problem either it escalates to the OSGeo Incubation committee or to the board.

Responsibilites include:

• sending an annual report to OSGeo
