This page explains the organization of Mapbender Development.

The functionality described in the section Coming Soon of the page Development will be available in the Next Version. Planned modules are usually already available via SVN and wait to be tested. Future Development contains the approved wish list. You can also add Change Requests which can be discussed and eventually moved to the Development page.

The Approved Wish List

Approvement of Change Requests require that the Mapbender Development Team runs a vote. If that vote is positive the Change Request enters the status Future Development. Once somebody starts to implement code (or there is some funding) the module moves up into the section Planned. Once a date has been fixed and a version that contains the new module it is moved to the section Coming Soon and will be available in the Next Version. After the version has been released the new module is added to Modules and documented in the MapbenderHistory.

Diese Seite erklärt wie organistorisch eine neue Funktion in Mapbender implementiert wird.

Die im Abschnitt Comming Soon beschriebenen Module sind in der nächsten Version von Mapbender enthalten. Neue Vorschläge werden auf der Seite Change Requests eingetragen. Das Mapbender Entwicklerteam wählt, bei positivem Ergebnis wird das Modul in die Entwicklungsseite in den Abschnitt zukünftige Entwicklungen aufgenommen. Sobald die Arbeit anfängt, wird das Modul in den Abschnitt Planned verschoben und der Code steht für Tests im SVN bereit. Ab jetzt sollte möglichst viel getestet und an die Mailing Liste zurückgemeldet werden. Wenn klar ist zu welchem Zeitpunkt das Modul in einer stabilen Version verfügbar ist, wird es in den Bereich Coming Soon verschoben. Sobald das Modul in der stabilen Version (Next Version) verfügbar ist, wird der Link auf die Seite Modules verschoben und in der MapbenderHistory vermerkt.

Je nach Fragestellung und Umfang kann dieser Prozess wenige Tage oder mehrere Monate dauern.
