Description
The Geo-Integrator Geoserver module contains a transactional OGC Web Feature Service (WFS-T). A Geographical Place Name Registry (Gazetteer) returns spatial attributes (point coordinate, bounding box or full geometry) for named places. The Gazetteer module can be used for navigation and visualization (highlighting) of selected features.
Functionality
A search box is added to a user interface which creates a FILTER parameter that is added to the URL of the OGC WFS service. Additionally the current bounding box or any previously selected or created GML feature can be added to the FILTER parameter.
Geographical placename searches (e.g. for ids, names or street adress) are made accessible through an OGC WFS interface and queried for spatial coordinates.
The result of both operations is either renderd as an HTML page, an XML document or a dynamically rendered image of the selected features.
Standards
Geo-Integrator Geoserver module implements the OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium) WFS-T Profile for transactional Web Feature Services. Features are accessed, created and stored as GML objects.
