Description

The module Web Client contains software packages implementing navigation, querying and management of standardized map and feature services. Maps can be displayed, overlayed, queried and edited.

Map projects (any combination of OWS services, layers and a bounding box) can be stored as web map context documents. This functionality allows to store a map compilation within the client context to transfer into any other Geo-Integrator Modules.

Functionality

Geo-Integrator Web Client Modules can access map and feature (geometry or data) services. The capabilities of each services can be cached in a central database and preconfigured for efficient use in the client interfaces. This enhances performance and optimizes usability.

Interfaces can be created using browser-based front ends. Gazetteer and meta data catalogs can be integrated, accessed and queried.

Special components implement simple and more complex editing functionality for feature services (digitizing geometries).

Standards

Geo-Integrator Web Client Modules implement the WMS, WFS, WFS-T, SLD, GML and Web Context Document specifications of the OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium).
