There are several ways to contact the Mapbender Community. The most common is to subscribe to the Mapbender Mailing Lists. By subscribing to this list you will automatically receive every email that is sent to the corresponding list. You need to have a valid email account to join this list. You can leave or join the list any time.

There is a dedicated IRC channel open at irc://irc.freenode.net#mapbender. It is used for the weekly developer meeting but you can also ask any question any time. For more information have a look at IRC.

Notice

• The email adress of every sender who posts to the user mailing list is displayed in a public archive. This means that it can be found by Google and also by spam robots. You might also receive strange or weird posts that have nothing to do with the topic because sometimes a robot manages to get past the filtering mechanisms and posts to the list as if a regular human user.
• Please be aware of the public accessibility of the Mapbender User Mailing List. The public archive is searchable and contains all posts. Do not post data that might compromise your security (MAP-files passwords, etc).
• Every email that you write to this list will be visible for years to come (in computer terms: for eternity).

If you are a Mapbender user or operate a site with Mapbender you are invited to add a link and your geographic position to the collaborative Mapbender User Map.

Der übliche Weg, um Kontakt zur Mapbender Anwendergemeinschaft aufzunehmen sind die öffentlichen Mapbender Mailing Lists. Wenn Sie sich dort mit einer gültigen Email-Adresse registrieren, erhalten Sie automatisch alle Emails, die an die User Listen verschickt werden. Sie können sich jederzeit auch wieder aus den Listen autragen.

Es gibt einen eigenen IRC-Kanal unter irc://irc.freenode.net#mapbender, hier findet auch das wöchentliche Entwickler-Treffen statt. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter IRC.

Hinweise

• Jede Email, die an die Mailing Listen geschrieben wurde kann von Google - und damit auch von Spam-Robotern gefunden werden. Es kann deshalb passieren, dass unerwünschte Emails mit völlig abwegigem Inhalt an die von Ihnen angegebene Adresse verschickt werden.
• Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Liste und das Archiv öffentlich sind und durchsucht werden können. Schreiben Sie nichts in den Emails was Ihre Sicherheit kompromittieren könnte (Passwörter, Zugangsdaten, etc.).
• Alle Emails werden für Jahre archiviert.

Wenn Sie Anwender oder Betreiber einer Mapbender Installation sind, sind Sie herzlich eingeladen, Ihre geographische Position und einen Verweis auf Ihre Kartenanwendungen in der Anwenderkarte einzutragen.

Mapbender User Map

To add your site first zoom to your location, then add a new point using the "Digitize your location" tab. Select the "add point" tool () and click into the map. Then click on the yellow i-bulb and enter your data into the new window. Click "Save" and check the results.
