Short intro of whats there. New implementation of ISO 19119 for Mapbender.

Connection by Geoportal-RLP to Portal-U planned.

GeoNetwork opensource is being used by the City of Dortmund.

How to connect?

Armin Retterath explains caveats of CS-W 2.0. The most pragmatic problem is that layers cannot be found but only complete WMS. Geoportal-RLP therefore stores Metadata for each layer so that from a resultset individual layers can be added to the map window. Services (WMS) can be added to the Mapbender repository through standard administration user interfaces (GUI). Every data provider creates and maintains their own metadata.
