Mapbender was well represented at this years Open Source Geospatial Conference in Minneapolis. It seems that the innovative architecture and thorough support of industry standards around have convinced many to join the user community and profit from the high degree of interoperability which makes up the essence of Mapbender.
Humbled by many positive references from other projects and leading figures of the Open Source scene we are highly motivated to continue our path leading to an integrated community of software engineers, operators and users who interact to get the best out of investment.
Alan Doyle, Leading figure in the EOGEO conference and movement counts Mapbender as being one of the larger projects in the scene. This probably does not only result from the technical virtues of Mapbender but probably more because the interface can be seen in many applications. Read more:
Always remeber: The client is what you get to see - but the powerful archtiectures are what makes the application tick in the first place. Therefore a kudos to all who make possible such powerful infrastructures, only naming a few examples these are:
- FreeBSD
- PostgreSQL
- PostGIS
- UMN ~MapServer
- The GeoServer Project
- and many more...
