This web application is provided by the state of Rhineland Palatinate for cyclists to plan their tours at home. The tour data can be exported to hand held devices and used for real-time navigation.

The architecture is based on open standards and Open Source software including Mapbender, MapServer, PostgreSQL, PostGIS and many more.

The video documents the OWS-5 KML implementation of the Rhineland Palatinate bicycle tour planer.

This implementation was part of the OGC OWS initiative of the WhereGroup. The short webcast of the OWS-5 KML implementation shows the use of KML in the Rhineland Palatinate bicycle tour planer.
