This page lists the Mapbender Project Steering Committee (PSC) members. New people can be nominated by all interested parties and are voted into the PSC by the existing PSC members. Please read the Category talk:PSC page for a discussion of how to handle low activity and make space for new members.

The PSC defines the Development and Voting Processes. The chair of the PSC is officer of the OSGeo Foundation and member of the OSGeo Incubation Committee. Beyond that the PSC and chair do not have a lot of things to do.

The development group grants committ access to the code repository. All Mapbender Contributors have been granted Wiki edit access to collaborate on all development processes. The OSGeo operates SVN software for the Mapbender Code Repository where code, deployment and versioning are managed. The repository can be access by all in read only mode, registered Mapbender developers also have commit (write) permission.

Contact the Mapbender User Community

For most inquiries please first go to the Mapbender Mailing Lists and mail to the either the users or the dev list.

Contact the PSC directly

Please contact the PSC only directly in cases where you are in doubt about security issues, licensing or need to report a severe problem that cannot be discussed publicly.

Mailing List Administration

There are three Mapbender Mailing Lists. They are currently administered by Arnulf, Christoph and Uli. There are two standard answers to people who got lost either on the old lists (send New Mailing List) or did not subscribe yet (send Please Subscribe to Mailing List).

The Mapbender IRC channel is used to discuss issues directly. During regular European office hours (UTC +1) you will usually find someone there.
