Die Firma terrestris baut seit 2003 das WebGIS der Stadtverwaltung Soest auf. Derzeit beinhaltet das System neben Basisdaten wie Luftbildern und topographischen Kartenwerken auch Daten der Stadtgrundkarte, Naturschutzgebiete, Bebauungspläne, soziale Infrastruktur, den Flächennutzungsplan und eine Wahllokalkarte mit Darstellung der letzten Wahlergebnisse. Weitere Anwendungen erlauben die graphische Darstellung von potentiell zu evakuierenden Personen im Falle einer Bombenentschärfung und diverse räumliche Suchen.

SEGEPLAN aims promoting the development of Spatial Data Infrastructures in Guatemala, and he does bet through Free Software. The Technology of Information National Center CNTI aims to promote the use of free software in accordance with Decree 3.390 of preferential use of FOSS in Public Administration. CNTI has funded the Node Hidroven-Hidrofalcon as part of IDEGEOVEN using 100% FOSS4G software (Apache, Mapserver, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, gvSIG, and GeoNetwork Mapbender). This project has been developed by gvSIG ASSOCIATION.

El Centro Nacional de Tecnologías de Información CNTI tiene como objetivo promover el uso de software libre de conformidad con el Decreto 3.390 de Uso Preferencial de FOSS en la Administración Pública. CNTI ha financiado el Nodo Hidroven-Hidrofalcon como parte de IDEGEOVEN con uso de 100% FOSS4G (Apache, Mapserver, PostgreSQL-PostGIS, gvSIG, Geonetwork y Mapbender).
