The WhereGroup is a provider of geospatial services and solutions. Our core competencies are consultancy, concept development, implementation and operation of dynamic geospatial solutions, covering the full project cycle of design - build - operate. Typical customer applications range from interactive city maps, monitoring systems and geoportals, to complex solutions e.g. for logistics, agricultural applications and risk management. All our services are vendor neutral. We specialise in deploying and implementing solutions designed with Free Software. Based on many years of experience with geospatial projects and their complex architectures, we offer a broad portfolio of approved solutions.
The WhereGroup is Associate Member of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). Using open standards provides you with maximised interoperability and flexibility when deploying, operating or extending an architecture and helps to support efficiency and protect your investments in the long term. The WhereGroup is engaged in Open Source Software development and actively supports the dialogue between developers and users at national and international levels.
We supported the incorporation of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) and will continue to support it's operations. Thanks to much support from the WhereGroup the project Mapbender was the first project of the OSGeo to graduate from incubation.

Wir bieten Beratung, Konzeption, Entwicklung, Aufbau und Betrieb dynamischer Kartenanwendungen von einfachen Lageskizzen über Stadtplandienste und Geoportale bis zu komplexen Anwendungen, z.B. in den Bereichen Logistik, Landwirtschaft oder Tourismus. Wir beraten herstellerunabhängig und sind spezialisiert auf die professionelle Anwendung und Integration freier Software.
Als Mitglied im OGC setzen wir die Standards nicht nur um, sondern beeinflussen diese auch maßgeblich mit. Die Verwendung offener Standards gewährleistet ein Maximum an Interoperabilität und Flexibilität bei Einführung und Ausbau Ihrer Architektur. Die Beachtung der notwendigen Sicherheitsaspekte ist für uns selbstverständlich. Die WhereGroup entwickelt selbst freie Software und unterstützt den Dialog von Entwicklern und Anwendern. Wir sind Gründungsmitglied der OSGeo und unterstützen sie auf vielen Ebenen.
