Wink
Wink is a screencasting software.
Introduction
Wink is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software. Wink is distributed as freeware for business or personal use. Using Wink you can capture screenshots, add explanations boxes, buttons, titles etc and generate a highly effective tutorial for the users. Wink also has multilingual support and can be used in English, French, German, Italian, Danish, Spanish, Serbian, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
Wink is available for all flavours of Windows and various versions of Linux. The current versions is 2.0 (Windows) and 1.5 (Linux). Wink is distributed for free, but it is not open source.
Tutorial
Take a Screencast
→ to use wink, "NumLock" shouldn't be activated
- start Wink
- File → New Project
- check "Hide Wink Window"
- choose "Screen", "Window", "Custom Recangle" or firm Resolution
- per "choose" you can check the section, which is focused by wink
- choose "Time Capture Rate" ('frame/second', 'frame/minute', 'frame/hour')
- → OK
- Minimize To Tray → Start Time Capture (now Wink is in record mode)
- Use Button "Shift + Break" starts video capturing / Use Button "Break" it takes Screenshots
- if you are done, choose "Finish Capture" → now you can show your captures on the Wink-surface
Editing and Rendering
- above F3 or Project → "Settings" (you can opt the "storage location" and the "storageformat" (*.swf, *.exe))
- above F7 or Project → "Render" (now you can show your own film)
- above Image → "Insert Frame"
